Today I’m in Kansas City, Missouri USA. Right about in the middle of the United States. I was thinking of how much fun it has been to be traveling with Pat, my wife and Maggie my dog. We’ve been visiting family all along the way and at this point, we have about 7,000 road miles under our belt. I can’t believe the joy and comfort we’ve experienced seeing all the friends and family along this road.
I telling you, if you ever have the chance to take a month or so, no matter where you are in the World and think that you would like to connect and re-connect with those amazing Spirits you have gathered over the years, don’t hesitate. Make it so. You will never regret it. The rewards will fill your heart and soul.

Now it’s time to change the strings on my ukulele. It’s time. I mean, sure, it’s still going to sound like a ukulele, but it will be a cleaner ukulele sound.

Light & Magic…
My blogging skills suck. I get started and then I forget I’m blogging and concentrate on Twitter. Then Instagram. Oops, I forgot to keep track of the family on Facebook and Snap Chat. That’s okay, I’l get to them right after I update my three websites, read some marketing strategy manuals and downloads.
Oh yea, I have a sailing business. So let me get the boat cleaned, varnished and maintained so I can do charters on the Gulf of Mexico. Perfect. Now I can concentrate on traveling and sharing the CellGrasp Gospel worldwide.
Of course, that takes me away from the sewing machine which is producing the CellGrasps to begin with. Let me not forget to take the orders from the emails, sort, pack and ship.
It kills me that I wake up at my computer at 3:00 a.m. with a page of “xccxccccccccccccccccccccccccc’s” on my screen while I was writing my 2018 Magic Lecture Notes called, “Magic Keepers, We Are.” But hey, it’s 3:00 a.m. a great time to shoot out some tweets on a couple of accounts I have.
No worries, It’s summertime. I’ll shut the boat business down and take a four month road trip to see family, friends, while introducing CellGrasps as Pat keeps the Garlic Shows going at 5 major Renaissance Festivals.
But after the grandkids go to bed and I’m up late at night while on the road, It’s easy to build some graphics for Instagram and Twitter, I’ll clean out my bulging in-box then…
Oh wait, It’s been months since I put up a Blog post. How did that slip my mind?
Such is the life of a Sailor, Magician, Creator and musician. I love my life.
So let me gather up some of the little note books I have laying around, organize some notes and start helping you get better pics, vids and selfies from your cell phone.
I promise by Monday morning, you will have a fresh blog with some cool things you can do to capture better pics, vids and selfies.
I’ve been taking a poll and surveys about putting in a new color. I was thinking of just putting out Pat’s favorite, the Tie-Die CellGrasp, but I wanted to see what the public had to say about that.
So far from Twitter, Instagram and Facebook information, the Tie-Die seems to be a favorite. It will be a little softer band from the Original Black CellGrasp. It’s funny, the first time people put in on their fingers, the say, “Wow, that’s a tight fit. Do I have the right size?”

Sure dry spells happen. So much has been going on this summer. It’s been crazy. Then when you plan to make changes and smooth things out, stuff happens. Hurricanes, un-expected travel, manufacturing glitches, social media changes, learning curves, etc., etc…
I have a magnet on my fridge that says, “We plan. God laughs.” So goes the saying. But as we dodge the storms of life, we learn our lessons, dust ourselves off and climb out of the ditch onto the road again and continue the journey.

By connect, I mean it’s time for me to connect you with your cell phone. “Sure.” you say. “I hold my cell phone all the time.” Exactly. That’s what I’m talking about.
It’s been a very long time since I’ve really taken the time, here on the blog, to talk about my little patented invention, CellGrasp. In fact, I have friends that still don’t know that I’m still in business playing with the big dogs and trying to pee on the right trees as I leave my scent here and there. But I’m now drinking more water, eating a ton of fruit and getting ready to take all the urine and spray down the woods. I’m here and I’m going to let you know.
When I got the idea of CellGrasp, I was ignorant of the process of inventing and developing a product, I came up with something new. No one has seen one before. This is a real problem to marketers and the general public.
If I would have made CellGrasp so you just glue it to the back of your phone with glue, tape or a suction cup, the mainstream marketing people and the public would have just bought a ton of them.
But because I was a kook and decided to make CellGrasp a “continues loop”, one side being made of elastic and the other side an ultra clear, flexible touch-sensitive lens, that just slips on and off the cell phone you have, that makes me different and weird.
Although CellGrasp is superior in holding power and the holding power will not fail you so your phone will not drop, we are the outcasts. Other holding devices are popular, but will not stick for long on a case that is made of silicon, which over 60 percent of the cases out there are. In fact on my competitors packaging they say, “Does not work with silicon cases.”
So you go out and buy a $9.00 device to save your phone. Then because you have a cool case that has your sports team logo, you go get a case that is made of smooth plastic for $25.00 and you are now ready to go. Or, if you don’t want to buy a new case, just take your nice bling or sports case off of your phone, you know, the one you really like and glue the device to the back of your phone, naked. Hmmmm.
Now your cool case cannot be put back on because the device is glued to the back of your phone. And if it’s stuck on really good, it could be tuff to remove. In fact one of my competitors website states, “To remove the xxx from the back of your phone, heat up a butter knife and pry…” REALLY? Does that make any sense to you?
Is my frustration showing? I’ll calm down in a moment… I’m going to walk the dog. I’ll be back in a few minutes. Talk amongst yourselves for a few…
I’m back. That was a good idea.
So let me just take a moment to show you the anatomy of a CellGrasp.
So let’s make this a visual conversation. There it is. Up close and personal. It is a better mouse trap. There are things on the market that claim to hold your phone to your hand. You may have one. I do. I’ve bought a lot of my competitors products. Do you want to know why? Yea me to. They all have one major flaw. And if I had done my research before I invented CellGrasp, mine may have had that same flaw. They all need glue or sticky 3M tape to “mount” it to your phone. Now that it is on, it will stay on your phone ALL of the time, except the times it falls off. If you read the reviews, that happens.
I am so blessed and you guys are so lucky that I didn’t think it through and looked to see if there was anything out there first to take care of the problem. I was searching for wrist straps for cell phones. There wasn’t any. Cool off to work I go… Good and well, not so good. Now there’s an education process so PAY ATTENTION!

Sure. I write like I talk. Some say that’s pretty strange, but it’s the way I write, I mean talk, well you catch my drift.
During my ramblings, I throw in a capital letter that I’ve been asked about now and then. I guess I should explain my use of the English language. It’s pretty easy if you think about it. I like some words and they have emotion, so they are treated as proper words.
When I write about Love, it is why the “L” is a capital because it’s special to me. The same as Earth, Planet or anything else that is “Proper” in context as to what I’m writing about.
I know, it’s not proper English, but it shows proper respect to words of emotion, words of Love and words that we the people of this amazing Planet connect with.
So when I talk and I emphasize a word with a capital, you’ll know that I’m just giving that word the proper respect that it deserves in the context of the writing. So that’s another suspected typo that you don’t have to worry about.
While I’m on it, I don’t spell very well and my phrasing is not so good either. I think I have a grasp of the words there, their and they’re, but even with that knowledge I may throw that in the mix because sometimes, not very often, but just sometimes, I don’t use them correctly. The cool thing is, that when you read it, you’ll be able to roll right by it if you don’t get hung up on the part that it’s the wrong there that I wrote their.
The spelling thing, as mentioned above has always been a problem. Yep, I’ve got the spell check thing going, but even then it will correct me with another spelling that could be changed to even a different word. Then it doesn’t make any sense at all, but if you stay in context, you will be able to figure out what I was trying to say, or get close anyway.
Which brings up proof reading… Yes, I proof read my stuff. “Sure,” you say, but it’s true. But in my mind, with the way I spell and conjugate and break the rules of the English language my, mind just over looks my mistakes and moves right down to the “post” button and that’s about all I can say about that.
So with all that said, I think you’ll feel better about all the so called mistakes that I will make in my blog posts. Sometimes it even makes me laugh too. The point is to get my point across in my own words, in my own style and I know that you will be able to read it and get the drift of what I’m talking about.
Anyway, I’m off to bed. Thinking of all of you and wishing you well. I sail tomorrow and will continue to share my thoughts now and then.

(Time to catch up this blog. Sorry for the delay.)
No need to wake up early, but it seems that that’s not really an option. There is just something about laying in bed and feeling the vibration of the thrusters blasting out sea water and sand as you pull into dock.
Sure, I lay there for a bit saying, “Go back to sleep Pablo. We are spending the night here in Bermuda so there’s no hurry to get up and get rolling. Just roll over and go back to sleep.” But in a very dark room I can’t wait to peek out of the curtains and see what there is to see. It’s kind of like unwrapping a gift. You just can’t wait to see it. No matter what it is.
Once I peek outside, that’s it. I’m up. The light smacks me up the side of the head the colors of the light blue sea and the of the low island ready to explore. Time to call room service for coffee, cream and honey, slip on my robe and wait. The morning has begun and I’m in Bermuda for a bit over 24 hours I’m ready for it.
Pat and I have never been to Bermuda. We have plans. Get off the ship, explore the island a bit, find a beach, go to Hamilton, check out the Gosling Rum Distillery, find a place for dinner and then just go with the flow for the rest of our time here…
Aggressive agenda you say? Yep. You’re right. We got off the ship. We found Horseshoe Beach… Well, that’s about it. We found paradise, poked our toes in the sand and jumped in the crystal clear sea and that was it. Was it enough? For that day, that moment in history, that precious, intoxicating, blink of a life… Yes it was.
We are always flexible when we travel, which we do all the time for fun and business. It’s the only way for us to keep sane while we gather experiences. It’s fun. It’s also moments of frustration, and it’s feelings of victory over our feelings and limitations of our self inflicted schedule, it’s experiencing Peace in the moment and then enjoying the reflection of, “If we had not done that then we would not have gotten this.” We love that kind of stuff. So it was in Bermuda. More lessons and a major GREAT time with Pete and Iva.
So truly, it was a simple day in Bermuda. Once off the ship, we stopped by a store on the dock and saw a bottle of Hennessy White which is very hard to find. It’s not for us, but a special gift for a friend we know in Myrtle. Pat made a note of it and then we headed out to the transportation area to see if we could catch a cab to somewhere. Yep, it was easy.
We found a driver to take us the 45 minutes to Horseshoe Beach. A great place to start our day and adventure in Bermuda. It was a 10 passenger van and we waited until it was full. Once full, the driver headed out of the port area and we started our day.
It was a beautiful drive. We drove by old buildings, and some beautiful bays and anchorages as well as a mooring field that had my name all over it. Tucked away, comfy and peaceful. I was ready to move Panacea there in a flash. The driver helped with information along the way and soon we were pulling into the drop off area for the beach. After four days at sea, and many, many days in Europe, a white sandy beach was just the ticket for the four of us…
Horseshoe Beach is a very welcoming place to stop. It has everything, rental umbrellas and chairs, a snack bar, a bar and a guy named Paul that could play the heck out of the steel drums. It was just him with some tracks behind him, but we were in paradise.
There were so many great views that I had a very hard time figuring out what pics to take. CellGrasp came in VERY handy in all the shots. No sand, no water, no dropping, it was a secure day that’s for sure. Not to say, as always, that I didn’t see so many people being very careful not to drop their phones. Sometimes I wish I traveled with a bull horn and wore a vest with small ones on the right and large ones on the left and I’d yell out, “Start the line to the right.”
Sure, I want to sell my little CellGrasps, but my main goal is to solve the problem that cellphone users don’t even know they have until they drop their phone. Yep. It happens all the time. So it’s trying to sell seat belts before they made it a law to have them. Now there’s an idea, maybe I can make it a law that you have to have a CellGrasp to save your digital lifestyle, your camera, your contacts, your emails, your data… Yea, a law. This day and age, ANYTHING is possible.
So kicking back on the beach was great. We talked about leaving and going to Hamilton, the Gosling Factory, yada, yada, yada… Nope. It just didn’t happen. Sun, water, sand… It got the best of us, again. We stayed and stayed.
Until the time that we had to move on. Sure, we could have pushed it and headed to other places on the island, but we just weren’t into pushing it anywhere. We had officially slipped into “Island Time.” No complaints. It’s a great place to be and it seems to come so naturally for this hedonistic body of mine.
You know, I have to tell you the truth. After all the sea days and all the other days and all the days in general, we were ready to chill on a beach. It happens and when it does, nothing else matters. When conditions are this perfect with the perfect temperature and the perfect place and the perfect people to be with… All the elements were working. It wasn’t even an option to move on. You can see it on Patty’s face.
Well the day came to an end. It was time to head to the ship and move into the night festivities. We grabbed a cab and off we went for the 45 minute trip back to the port.
Once back, we stopped at a small shop to pick up a couple of things and then boarded the ship.
Not much else to report. It was a great evening. Once back in our cabin, hot showers, short naps and then out and about for the evening. Dinner at the steak house tonight. GREAT. It was one of Pat’s perks for becoming a Diamond sailor. Yep, she’s had 25 Carnival cruises and she gets a free dinner. Now that’s a perk huh! It was Amazing.
The steak house aboard was perfect. The food was impeccable. (I love spell check for that one.) Everything was done perfectly and the staff was top notch to say the least. Our dinner was on the house, but even if it wasn’t, the flat rate for dinner there is $35.00 a person. After experiencing it, that’s a steal.
Yes, yesterday, it was a freaky spooky night on the ship. Halloween, well it was actually October 30th but this was the official “ship” night to celebrate it. I was really shocked and amazed at how many people packed pretty elaborate costumes to wallow in the Spirit. It was very cool and crazy. I loved it.
As all the creepy freaks walked the hallways, restaurants and bars, there were a group of people that gave away tickets to the top 10 best costumes and at the end of the night, in the theater, there was a costume contest. Anything for a party on a ship.
The winner, you guessed it, was a family that dressed up as Carnival cruise ships. It was well deserved. They were a very cool family from kids, parents and grand parents. Wise choice audience…
After a great day with walking, beach, sightseeing, great dinner, ship wondering, it was time for kicking back in the cabin. I do like my cabin. It’s a place that has a great view, no matter where we are and a place to contemplate, meditate, and create. Home away from home. Zzzzzz.
It was nice sleeping at the dock. Pat didn’t sleep as well, she loves the feel of the ship rocking her to sleep. Me too, but I got a real nice sleep. We woke up a little later than normal and took our time getting coffee and breakfast. We left port about noon and we are off for a couple day cruise to New York, our final destination. So a sea day today and a sea day tomorrow and then we dock in New York about 4:30 a.m. Eastern.
I could get used to this cruising lifestyle. At least for a while. No phone, sketchy WiFi, all my needs taken care of, endless smiles from endless people. Well maybe not endless people…
I had a guru of mine tell me once that there are only 200 people in the world. Now that’s in interesting concept. I have noticed since then, and that was 40 years ago, I notice that I do run across the same people over and over again. I guess everyone else walking around in my life, that I don’t make a verbal contact with, are just peripheral entertainment because, I may not see them again. Maybe. I’m not sure, but I’m keeping that concept simmering on the back burner of my mind. It’s hard to tell what the truth is in this Universe, I guess it’s what WE choose and accept to call truth. Maybe that’s it.
It’s been interesting, I’ve collected some pretty cool pics of people shooting pics with their cell phones. The grips are very varied. Very original and very personal. The winner today is the “Four Finger Tip Grip.” I’ve seen people drop their phones and do some amazing catches too. When it’s just out of reach, they throw their body out just to cushion the fall. I love it. Maybe life is about sacrifice.

Besides a great view of the ocean, no matter where you look, which is great by the way, the day passes very uneventful. Walking, reading, laughing, telling story, not breaking things, (…and if it gets broken, I don’t have to fix it.), eating, drinking, playing… That about sums up this Sea Day.
The weather is beautiful. We are so blessed to have great weather being created for us. I’ll take it. That’s why we are here. Not a survival sail, a real cruise.Things are rolling right along on the CellGrasp front. We are making some changes, not in design, but in marketing. I’ve met some people that are pretty smart about such things and so we are learning as well as playing.

In any case, I’m going to go find something to do instead of type away my day. I want you all to do the same. Even if you are strapped into a cubical, close your eyes for just 15 seconds. Dream of something amazing that relaxes you and stirs your juices. Take three very deep and slow breathes. Focus on this dream for a couple of more seconds and then SLOWLY open your eyes.
This is, what I call the 15 Second Vacation. You can do it anytime. I’ve done it on stage by using the 7 Second Version. Nobody knows. It’s for me, and you. It will rejuvenate you and give you the magical feeling of Being in the Now. It’s a ritual that I have shared for years. Pat and I have used this, even during a busy show where the tables are jammed with Garlic lovers and we see no end in sight.
